New York-based, www.eDressMe.com, finds delicious trends for Fall 2002.
Think that you’re about to discover a culinary delight when you hear chocolate, port and crème brulee?
Well, maybe when you don the Fall 2002 fashions you find on-line at www.eDressMe.com, someone will want to treat you, but food is not this savvy web site’s domain. Instead, it sells gorgeous cocktail dresses, eveningwear and other tempting frocks.
Visit this site’s home page and you’ll be invited to “Melt in Chocolate,” and “Drink Port.” You won’t be able to leave the address without savoring over the feminine laces, gorgeous chiffons, embroidered silks and other spectacular fabrics you see on the pages of eDressMe’s Fall 2002 collection.
www.eDressMe.com carries hot designers including ABS, BCBG MaxAzria, Bisou-Bisou, Laundry by Shelli Segal, Nanette Lepore and Joe’s Jeans. Their merchandisers seek innovative, new talent to bring to the market. The site also stocks unique items they find in the market like one-of-a-kind funky hats.
“We want to serve all of our customers and introduce them to styles they can’t find in rural areas. Recently we outfitted a bridal party in South Dakota in salsa dresses. We had to custom-make one of the dresses when a bridesmaid got pregnant and outgrew her original dress,” says founder and CEO, Joanne Stoner.
What will Fall fashions bring? “This is a very creative season. New looks like tunic tops in sheer fabrics are paired with funky jeans. Bohemian and vintage can be romantic or racy. Your imagination is the only limitation for Fall,” says Joanne.
“We want to give our customers an interpretation of these trends that suit their lifestyles. That’s why we added the “Shop by Mood” button on our site,” adds Jack Hanick, President.
“We heard from customers that they want ‘younger styles for older bodies.’ We made it a point to find these styles and let our customers know,” says Joanne.
eDressMe recently added a service for NYC customers. A customer can place an order in the morning from her office and have the style delivered by early afternoon directly to her desk.
What else does this fast-moving site that aims to please have in store?
Keep checking. eDressMe is likely to come up with more ideas to take the headaches away from shopping.
